College of Foreign Languages Successfully Held the Freshmen Party Entitled “Welcome to a New Era, Co-construct First-class Disciplines”
In order to welcome the 2017 grade freshmen, College of Foreign Languages held the freshmen party elaborately in YBU Club on December 6th, 2017, which was entitled “Welcome to a new era, Co-construct first-class disciplines.” Those who attended the ceremony included the Party Secretary Zhao Liang, Dean Zheng Xianri, Deputy Dean Cui Xuebo, Director of Caring the Next Generation Committee Liu Wen, Chief of Foreign Language College’s General Office Chu Changlin, Director of the Student Affairs Office Jin Chunxian, League Secretary Guo Xiandan, as well as other secretaries, deans and teachers from different departments..
The party started with the choirMe and MY Country sung by graduates. Then the 2017 girls warmed the atmosphere with their hot dance Boom. The next was the national danceGolden Fish, which was elegant and sedate. Following were a serious of songs that delighted the party a lot, especially the music drama New Romeo and Juliet and the song Diamond, creating a brand-new performance of the classic works, which perfectly illustrated the college motto “Virtue and Erudition; Diversity and Integration; Practice and Persistence” and the youthful vitality. Then the short play Encounter at the Campus Rooftoptold an interesting story created by the interchange of soul. The Clothes Show brought by the English, Japanese and Russian Department gave a visual feast to the audience by showing traditional clothes of those three countries, which showed the unique characteristic of College of Foreign Languages. Finally, the party came to the end with the all-member dancing of the student union.
The freshmen party not only offers a platform for both the new and old students to show themselves, but also illustrates the “Diversity and Integration”characteristic of College of Foreign Languages, which is also the proof of its excellent discipline construction.
